IS SLUM A GLOBAL PHENOMENON?

Page No: 1-13

More than 900 million people live in slums worldwide. These slums can be found mainly in full-grown metropolitan and semi-urban hubs. The urban poor have wretched living conditions . They have usually inadequate access to basic infrastructure such as water, sanitation, roads, housing or energy. Planned supply infrastructure to improve the quality of life of slum dwellers requires the participation of both the government and non-government sectors. Now, slum Settlements are no longer burden on the bustling city life. They contribute a lot to the economy and maintenance of urban life. It is the paradox of the world economy in the form of industrialization and urbanization that has attracted the rural poor to migrate and live in cities as an integral part of urban life. Therefore, it is a global challenge to integrate slum dwellers into the urban mainstream instead of removing them to live on their fate.

A Review on the role of organic manures in the growth and development of different Aquaculture species

Page No: 1-4

The Aim of this paper is to know about the sustainable farming of different aquatic species to meet the environmental and social challenges. Fisheries and aquaculture remain important sources of food nutrition, income and livelihoods of millions of people around the world. Aquaculture is solely a matter of proving a product but it is also a part of rural development, generation of income and employment. The price of organic fertilizers is less when compared with chemical fertilizers. Sustainable aquaculture is achieved only by the utilization of renewable resources by organic aquaculture .We can avoid the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators ,feed additives and antibiotics. Hence the present study has been under taken in order to understand the effect of different organic manures on the growth and biochemical parameters of the fishes and prawns .

Sustainable Development and Rural Poverty Alleviation measures: Media Perspectives

Page No: 1-25

Poverty is a phenomenon no one likes and everyone avoids encountering. Development is answer to eradicating poverty and destitution. And development is economic prosperity plus change. On the whole the process to cure the disease is as complicated as the disease itself. Researchers and academicians have always recommended a relatively hassle-free path of setting a poverty line, studying the consumption expenditure of people and then figuring out who comes below the poverty line to be called poor. This methodology is quite significant for India as being the second most populous country it has the largest number of poor people. Since independence the country has introduced a number of programmes for improving the living standard of people. The present paper is a brief overview of the state of poverty in India and the challenges that emerged for all stake holders including media in pursuing various methods from time to time and creating public opinion for effective implementation of development schemes.

Page No: 1-9

Transmission of data through internet has become very common now a day so, it is important to have secure communication over internet. Cryptography and Steganography are two important methods for providing secure communication. We know cryptography and steganography are two methods used for data protection. The cryptography distorts the data and steganography hides the existence of data. But both of them have their own vulnerabilities, in this paper we are focused to combine cryptography and steganography in various ways to enhance the security of data.

Support Vector Regression Based Controller for Non-Linear CSTR Tank Processes

Page No: 1-7

Continuous Stirrer Tank Reactor (CSTR) processes. SVR based prediction control algorithm is recommended for complex non-linear processes, having very high dimensional input spaces. The proposed control algorithm is compared with Neural Network Predictive Control (NNPC) algorithm to show its effectiveness and observed that, local minima are hidden units selection issues involved in Neural predictive controller are solved. The same algorithm is used in nonlinear Continuous Stirrer Tank Reactor (CSTR) tank process to observe the effectiveness. In CSTR, concentration is controlled by manipulating its feed flow rate. From results, it is concluded that SVR ensures robustness and control accuracy under servo and regulatory operations.

A Study on Awareness Level of Income Tax Return E-Filing and Tax Saving Pattern of Salaried Employees in Higher Educational Institutions (With Reference to Gorakhpur City)

Page No: 1-14

Income Tax is one of the main sources of revenue generation for the Government. It is progressive in nature, increased accordingly by an increase in the level of Assesses income. Every Assessee whose total income during the previous year exceeds the specified or basic exemption limit, should file their Income Tax Return through online, the process is called E- filing. In this Technology driven era, E-filing is more popular because of its advantage of less time-consuming, cost reducing, easier and friendly access. Tax saving is the amount of tax saved by the adoption of various available and possible deduction, exemption, rebate and reliefs in such a way so that the maximum advantage of these benefits are fully utilized as provided by the Income Tax Act, 1961, which can be termed as Tax Planning. It is not a one day task; it can only be done by the proper tax planning throughout the previous year in which income is earned or for which assessment is to be made. The main problem which emphasizes to do a research was less awareness and dependency for e-filing of Income Tax Return and various techniques adopted to save tax. Descriptive design was adopted for this study and primary data was collected with the help questionnaire. These collected data was then analyzed and tabularized by using MS Excel, graphs and other respective tools. This study communicate that salaried employees situated in Gorakhpur City of Uttar Pradesh are highly dependent on professionals for e-filing and tax saving, however they are aware about its easiness, safety and security but apart from that they seek the help of the tax consultants for e-filing and tax saving.

Hybrid Collaborative fusion based product recommendation exploiting sentiments from implicit and explicit reviews

Page No: 1-13

feature of online shopping. The goal of the recommendation system is to recommend products with higher accuracy such that purchase success ratio are increased. User profile, product purchase history etc have been used to provide high quality recommendations. Product reviews is one of the important source for personalized recommendation. Typical collaborative recommendation systems are built upon user rating on products. But in many cases, these rating information are inaccurate or not available. There is also a problem of biased reviews which decreases the accuracy of recommendation systems. This work proposes a collaborative fusion based recommendation system mining the aspects information in the implicit and explicit reviews. The sentiments about different aspects in the reviews are translated to multi dimensional aspect ratings and these ratings information is fused with user profile and demographic attributes to provide high quality of recommendation. The proposed recommendation system has 3.79% lower RMSE, 4.51% lower MAE and 22% lower MRE compared to most recent collaborative filtering based recommendation system.
