A GREEN HOUSE SYSTEM BASED ON CPLD

Page No: 1-6

The important part of the agriculture and horticulture sectors is efficient production. For optimum plant growth, improved yield of crops and for efficient use of water and other resources appropriate environmental conditions are necessary. Many researchers have been carried out to develop a greenhouse monitoring system. The existing greenhouse monitoring systems are costly, bulky and difficult to maintain. This paper presents an attempt which has been made to design a CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device) based monitoring system for green house, for real time monitoring the climatic parameter which directly or indirectly affect the growth of green house plant. The proposed system continuously monitors and controls temperature and soil moisture in green house to ensure it remains at preset level. For the hardware Implementation of the controller circuit CPLD is used. The controller circuit has been programmed using Verilog. The design is simulated using Modelsim for Model Technology and Xilinx tool is used for implantation. The developed system is cost effective, simple and easily installable.

THE “SIR” IMPACT OF DEMONETIZATION ON INDIAN ECONOMY- MEASURE OF RAPIDITY OF GROWTH

Page No: 1-9

The concept of demonetization and its contribution to economic growth has become one of the most attractive topics for discussion in all political, academic and other decision-making forums of the current times. The critics of demonetization are absolutely right about the adverse impact of the policy, considering the short-term period. The real impact of demonetization, however, must be weighed in the long-run and not in the short-run. Considering the negative impact of demonetization on the economy is only nominal and short-term, it is necessary to attach statistical substantiation to vouchsafe that the long-term impact of demonetization on the growth of the economy is increasing and sustainable. It is in this context the current research holds its significance. Research is conducted to assess the “SIR” impact of demonetization on Indian Economy. “SIR” stands for Sustainability, Innovation and Rapidity. Accordingly the research is divided into three parts as: “The “SIR” impact of demonetization - statistical evidence testifying the contribution of demonetization to long-term sustainable economic growth in India”, The “SIR” impact of demonetization-Measure of Innovation”, “The “SIR” impact of demonetization-Measure of Rapidity of Economic Growth”. While the first part of our research are presented at the International conferences conducted in Punjab titled ”Recent Trends in Technology and its impact on Indian Economy”, on 24th October 2017, the measure of rapidity of growth in India during the post demonetization scenario, has been described in the present paper. The exponential principle which is used to measure the rapidity of growth highlights that the GDP in India during post-demonetization period will grow at a rapid rate of 2.4% which is close to 3 to 6 percent, the benchmark set by economists and Analysts for rapidity of growth for developing economies.

THE “SIR” IMPACT OF DEMONETIZATION – NUMERICAL MEASURE OF SHORT-TERM DISRUPTION CAUSED BY DEMONETIZATION

Page No: 1-8

The advent of demonetization in India is providing enormous opportunities to grow in terms of digitization, clean India, sustainable economic growth. Demonetization has both negative and positive aspects. Looking at the positive side, demonetization will contribute to sustainable economic growth in the medium and long term. On the negative side, demonetization has caused short-term disruption to the economy, which has not been quantified. Therefore the current research is conducted to assess the “ SIR ” impact of demonetization on Indian Economy. ― SIR ‖ stands for Sustainability, Innovation and Rapidity. Accordingly, the research is divided into three parts as: ―The ―SIR‖ impact of demonetization - statistical evidence testifying the contribution of demonetization to long-term sustainable economic growth in India‖, which has been presented at the ―International Conference on Recent Trends in Technology and its impact on the economy of India‖ on 24 th October in Punjab. The Second part of the work ―The ―SIR‖ impact of demonetization-Measure of Innovation‖, has been published in the International Journal of Advance Research, Ideas and Innovations in Technology, Nov-Dec 2017, Issue-6, Vol:3. The third part of the work- ―The ―SIR‖ impact of demonetization - Measure of Rapidity of Economic Growth‖ has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Engineering Research and Technology and Management’. The present paper which is a sub-division of the first part of the current research numerically estimates the degree of disruption caused in the short-run, to the economy by demonetization, using Companion by Minitab software. The results of the study clearly indicated that to the extent of 23.59% demonetization has caused short term disruptions to the economy in India.

SCREENING OF ARTEMISIA VULGARIS EXTRACTS FOR ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY: A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THREE TESTING METHODS

Page No: 1-8

There is a popularity and scientific interest to screen essential oils and extracts of plants used medicinally in all over the world [1]. The main volatile constituents of the essential oils have been used historically in the pharmaceutical, food and perfume industries because of their antibacterial properties, culinary and fragrance, respectively. Many medicinal plants contain large amounts of antioxidants such as polyphenols, which can play an important role in adsorbing and neutralizing free radicals, quenching singlet and triplet oxygen, or decomposing peroxides. Many of these phytochemicals possess significant antioxidant capacities that are associated with lower occurrence and lower mortality rates of several human diseases [2].

SUBEROYLANILIDE HYDROXAMIC ACID: A MINI-REVIEW

Page No: 1-3

Histones are the basic proteins that complex with DNA to form the nucleosome core. The human genome consists of repetitive units of nucleosomes arranged in a compact and co-ordinated manner. Histones can be either in acetylated or deacetylated form and the equilibrium between two is regulated by the corresponding enzymes, histone acetylases and histones deacetylases (HDACs). These enzymes play an important role in regulating gene expression and chromatin assembly. Thus, Inhibition of HDACs represents a new strategy to treat several diseases. In this report, we will discuss the role of HDACs in metabolism with special reference to Suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA).
