IS SLUM A GLOBAL PHENOMENON?

Page No: 1-13

More than 900 million people live in slums worldwide. These slums can be found mainly in full-grown metropolitan and semi-urban hubs. The urban poor have wretched living conditions . They have usually inadequate access to basic infrastructure such as water, sanitation, roads, housing or energy. Planned supply infrastructure to improve the quality of life of slum dwellers requires the participation of both the government and non-government sectors. Now, slum Settlements are no longer burden on the bustling city life. They contribute a lot to the economy and maintenance of urban life. It is the paradox of the world economy in the form of industrialization and urbanization that has attracted the rural poor to migrate and live in cities as an integral part of urban life. Therefore, it is a global challenge to integrate slum dwellers into the urban mainstream instead of removing them to live on their fate.

Development and Validation of UV Spectrophotometric Method for the Estimation of Linezolid

Page No: 1-8

The objective of this study was to develop and validate a sensitive, simple, accurate, precise and cost-effective UV spectrophotometric method for the quantification of Linezolid (LNZ) in pharmaceutical formulations of lipid nanoparticles. Various analytical performance parameters, including linearity, range, precision, accuracy, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were determined in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Q2 (R1) guidelines. The analysis was carried out using a mixture of 80% water and 20% methanol (v/v). The maximum absorption peak (max) of LNZ was found to be 251 nm in the selected medium. Beer-Lamberts law was valid in the concentration range of 0.510 g/ml, with a high correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.9955. The study results affirm that the developed procedure is both accurate and precise, with reproducible outcomes. Additionally, it is characterized by its simplicity, affordability, and time efficiency. Consequently, this method can be effectively employed for the quantification of LNZ in prepared lipid nanoparticles.

PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING AND EMPATHY RELATIONSHIP ACROSS INDIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS.

Page No: 1-9

In order to build relationships with people and behave humanely, empathy is necessary. A person in good psychological health feels good about themselves and has optimism for the future. Humanitarian aid workers, physicians, therapists, journalists, and also others whose professions require them as to be sensitive to the distress of others are examples of persons with empathy. On the other hand, they can eventually feel the suffering of those they help or document. Because of this "emotional residue," people could burn out, shut down, and become less willing or able to contribute. This suggests that there may be a connection between psychological health and empathy. Prior studies on the relationship between empathy and psychological health exclusively looked at nurses, doctors, and designers. Therefore, as primary school teachers are thought to be highly empathic by nature, the relationship between psychological well-being and empathy was the main focus of this current work. This research's findings demonstrated a positive relationship between teachers' psychological health and empathy, with greater psychological health being associated with higher levels of empathy. The study's findings also showed that there is no relationship between the age of primary school teachers and their level of empathy.

quality, reduce scrap, and accelerate time-to-market. This article synthesizes current AI-enabled non-destructive testing (NDT) approaches for defect detection in automotive components, encompassing imaging-based defect recognition, signal-processing driven AI pipelines, multimodal data fusion, and prognostic perspectives. We analyse the landscape of AI techniques applied to NDT modalities such as ultrasonic testing, X-ray/CT, thermography, eddy current, terahertz, and image-based surface inspection, with emphasis on automotive-relevant applications (engineered polymers, composites, metal castings, gears, and sheet-metal parts). We discuss challenges including data scarcity, transferability, explain ability, and integration with Industry 4.0/5.0 paradigms, and outline best practices for dataset construction, model validation, and deployment in production lines. Where relevant, we contrast convergent findings across multiple sources to present a cohesive picture of the state-of-the-art and identify gaps guiding future research.

Homomorphic Encryption Scheme Parties, Platforms, Techniques, Complexities, Limitations and Future Directions: A Systematic Review

Page No: 1-28

Homomorphic Encryption (HE) is a cryptographic encryption technique that allows computational functions being carried out on encrypted data with the view of maintaining the functional properties of the data that is encrypted. The outcome is that the computation performed on the encrypted data remain the same as the decrypted data. Homomorphic Encryption revolved around privacy enhancing technology which react to the challenges of data sharing in an organization such as Personal Identifiable Information, Health Care Information, and Financial Transaction Data. All these data require privacy which is a prevalent issue. Significant achievement and advancement has been achieved in the design, development and implementation of HE techniques, thereby enhancing their efficiency and its practical applicability. This study would explore the parties, platforms, techniques, complexities and limitations associated with HE Schemes. Articles written in English, published in peer-reviewed academic journals, and released between 2020 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria. In the end, this study examined 40 relevant articles in total. The review delves into the most recent advancement in HE techniques, complexities and limitations. Also, focus is given to the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders, platforms and challenges encountered in real world application. Our key finding indicates that while HE offers important privacy benefits on applications, its deployment may be hindered by massive computational and communication overheads. This study clarifies the potential of HE in addressing the challenges in data privacy and security as it is applied in real-world situations such as cloud computing environments and federated learning while maintaining its computation feasibility.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LOGISTICS COSTS AND AIRLINE PERFORMANCE IN SOUTH WESTERN NIGERIA.

Page No: 1-14

Airlines operate within a highly capital-intensive industry, where a substantial share of total operational expenditure is driven by logistics-related activities. These costs encompass key components such as aircraft fuel consumption, maintenance and spare parts management, airport and ground handling services, and distribution processes. In general, these components accounts for a critical cost burden that significantly influences the financial performance and operational efficiency of airline organizations. The research is carried out within the airlines operating at the murtala International and operating the commercial wing. 300 employees were selected to form the population from the selected airlines out of which 171 were sampled using the Yaro Tamane Formula. The predictive influence of logistics cost components on airline performance was assessed using multiple regression analysis. The findings show a substantial and statistically significant relationship between the airlines performance and logistics cost. For Air Peace (R2 = 0.62) and Overland Airways (R2 = 0.53), logistics cost variables accounted for 62% and 53% of the performance variation, respectively. Fuel prices were found to be the most important negative predictor for both airlines, followed by the expenses of airport/ground handling and maintenance and spare parts logistics. Overland Airways showed comparatively more cost resilience, but Air Peace was more susceptible to changes in key cost components. For Overland Airways, distribution and ticketing expenses had a favorable and noteworthy impact, underscoring the need of effective revenue and sales processes. It was therefore concluded that maintaining airline performance and competitiveness in South Western Nigeria requires efficient logistics cost management.
